Hotel Skipper 5* - Comfort and service with a sense of style

The spa and fitness zone of the hotel, opened at the beginning of this year, attracts guests with luxurious treatments and a spectacular view from the top floor of the building.

On October 8th the participants can enjoy an extraordinary atmosphere under the stars directly at the beach of Barcelona. Further highlights will be typical spanish cuisine and a slightly sea breeze.

Barcelona – charming metropolis with many faces

Barcelona is a cosmopolitan and open-minded city of irresistible charm. Its many facets, the mixture of old and new cultural attractions, give the Mediterranean metropolis, which is one of the most beautiful and diverse cities in Europe, its particular charm.

Barcelona’s artistic and cultural heritage is the city’s greatest attraction. Apart from the famous buildings by Gaudí, a large number of museums with their extensive collections of works by Miro or Picasso are also part of it.

The historic old town, the famous Rambla, the different city quarters each with its special character, the colourful nightlife and countless shopping and sports facilities combine into a unique and varied choice for each and every visitor.

For the participants of the European Fitness Summit we elaborated some interesting highlights, which are worth to visit.

	Sagrada Familia - The Lifework of Gaudi The Sagrada Familia is one of the most famous landmarks in Barcelona and the sight with the biggest number of visits in Spain. Since 1882 there are building measures at the church. From 1883 until his death in 1926 the Catalanian architect Antonio Gaudí was leading the building measures. The church is often called cathedral, but is without a bishop’s see. The completion is expected for 2026. Currently 8 of 12 more than 100m high bell towers are completed. The higher towers of the so called front of the delightfulness as well as parts of the cloister, the dome and the apsis are under construction right now. Gaudi shaped the Sagrada Familia significantly. A lot of the newer parts are build after plans, which are hardly preserved, and they depended many times on presumptions how the big master builder intended it to be. Everone is sure: the Sagrada Familia will exceed, in case of completion, all existing Christian churches in its magnificence.
	Parc Güell – designed by Gaudí Parc Güell is, for sure, one of the most famous sight of Barcelona. Ornamented with ceramics, the wound bench is world-famous and is located above the based on peculiar roman temples market-hall. With the green area Gaudí created a magic forest. 	4 km sandy Beach Barcelona’s beach spans, with small gaps, about 60 km until Malgrat de Mar in the north. The main beach, which was created artificially and starts in Barceloneta, has a total length of 4 km and easily to reach by subway. Behind the beach there is a beach-promenade, the Passeig de Marítim. There are showers, bars and shops along the beach. At the end of the beach, close to the two skyscrapers at the end of Barceloneta, the copper-fish with a length of 50m became one of the emblems of Barcelona.
